Long Buckby Juniors 1

Gregory Celtic A 2

A good match which was decided by a strange goal that appeared to go through the side netting, however the goal was given. Both teams played well in the first half in an end to end encounter with Buckby going 1-0 down from a long range free kick which moved in the air. Buckby had some good chances but Celtic also hit the bar as the wind played tricks with the ball. From back to front Buckby played some good passing football against a team that hadn't been beaten in the league all season. Second half Celtic scored a strange goal early on and Buckby then battered them until Callum scored a cracker from outside the area. Shots went wide and their keeper made a fantastic finger tip save to deny us. Coyle also went close as the ball just went away from him and the keeper smothered. At the other end Celtic had a chance but Nik made a fantastic point blank save to deny celtic their third. Good game, Buckby deserved atleast a point out of it.
