Buckby did not turn up in the first half, gifting Southam two goals. The first saw the excellent Lee Kelly dance through centre midfield unchallenged and fire into the bottom corner from 25 yards. The second soon followed when a wayward pass from Ben Oddy was punished with an excellent through ball that saw Ben Cowdrill get away from the defence and neatly finish a one on one.
The second half saw a huge improvement from Buckby and Hussien Kofi came on at half time and scored within 2 minutes of the restart. Buckby pushed hard and created many chances with Anthony Willey and Harry Mattock hitting the bar and Ryan Ansell missing two glorious opportunities. However, Buckby could not find an equaliser although the second half performance did deserve it.
